Sidewalk Saturday School

“Train up children in the way they should go so that when they are old they will not depart from it.”  Proverbs 22:5.

Sidewalk Saturday School is a program that consists of dramas, object lessons, games, music, prizes and bible stories all with one goal and that is to teach children the foundational principles of the Word of God.   Lunch is served at every Sidewalk Saturday School to anywhere from 20-100 kids.

VOICES OF MERCY has served over 3600 meals over the past 4 years and over a 1000 in 2008.  We have hosted 3 multiple organizational outreach events with over 6000 meals, multiple giveaways including groceries, clothes, toys, Christmas gifts, etc.

Voices of Mercy has performed mentorship activities for 800+ children, most of which are from the Zion City area as well as other low income communities.  We have given over 6,980 rides to church, campouts, and religious and cultural activities in 2008 alone.

With the establishment of the Dream Center, we will be able to pick children up and bring them to Sidewalk Saturday School as well as reach out to more children in the surrounding communities.
